| Description: CanPowerSKATE PowerSkate’s Pre-Power is designed for young skaters, approximately four to six years of age who can stand up on skates and have some ability to skate forward, backward and attempt stopping. This program is designed for skaters who may not be ready for PowerSkate Level 1 but have previous experience with PreCanSkate, CanSkate or hockey or ringette programs. This is not a learn-to-skate program. Pre-Power helps develop basic skating abilities in a power skating-specific environment, including balance skills, forward and backward skating, stopping, turning and agility skills. The curriculum is presented in three progressive levels. Please note: These programs are not learn-to-skate oriented. Your skater must have experience skating forward/walking backward/attempting stops for the Pre-Power program. Important: Full hockey/ringette gear (including neck guards and jocks/jills) are required for these programs. Please bring a stick and water bottle along as well. Water bottles should be spout-style.
